According to both Sky Germany and Sport BILD, Tjark Ernst is headed to last season's Eredivise runners-up Feyenoord Rotterdam.
Feyenoord, who will compete in the Champions League next season, will transfer a fixed fee of €5million to Hertha Berlin.
The promising shot-stopper is already preparing for the move and will not participate in Hertha's training session today.
Hertha's league rival VfL Wolfsburg , who also held interest in Ernst, will also be closely watching this development.
While Wolfsburg missed out on Ernst's services, they are also interested in Feyenoord captain Timon Wellenreuther , who could be sold.
As for Hertha BSC, they must source a replacement, with Fortuna Düsseldorf's Florian Kastenmeier said to be top of their list.
Kastenmeier, who was relegated to the 3. Liga with Düsseldorf last season, would be available on a free transfer as a result.
