Kickers rarely command the same attention as quarterbacks, running backs or wide receivers. However, fantasy football managers know how valuable they can be when the margins are tight. Week 1 of the 2026 NFL season delivered a mixture of strong performances, missed opportunities and surprising results. That means several familiar names will look to respond in Week 2. Cameron Dicker is among the biggest bounce-back candidates. Brandon Aubrey will also look to put an underwhelming outing behind him. Cam Little enters Week 2 after converting every kick he attempted. Others could benefit from potentially high-scoring matchups. For kickers, identifying the right situation can be the difference between a quiet outing and a double-digit fantasy performance.

Week 2 Top Fantasy Football Picks

Cameron Dicker, LAC (vs. LV)

Dicker had virtually no opportunity to make an impact in Los Angeles' disappointing loss to Arizona . He did not attempt a field goal and converted both of his extra-point attempts, finishing with just two fantasy points. The good news is that one quiet week should not dramatically change his fantasy football outlook. The Chargers' matchup with Las Vegas offers an opportunity for the offense to generate many more scoring chances. He remains a strong Week 2 kicker option and one of the most obvious candidates to bounce back.

Cam Little, JAX (@ DEN)

Little made the most of every opportunity during Jacksonville's impressive victory over Cleveland . He converted both field-goal attempts and all four extra-point attempts. Little now travels to Denver hoping to maintain that consistency. Jacksonville's offensive firepower keeps him firmly in consideration. Even if the Jaguars do not replicate their six successful kicks from Week 1, continued offensive efficiency should give Little multiple opportunities. Little has the profile of a kicker who can remain fantasy relevant throughout the season.

Brandon Aubrey, DAL (vs. WAS)

Aubrey endured a frustrating night during Dallas' 28-20 loss to the New York Giants. He went 2-for-3 on extra-point attempts, finishing with only two fantasy points. His missed extra point late in the contest compounded an already disappointing outing for one of fantasy football's most established kicking options. A divisional matchup with Washington gives Aubrey an opportunity to reset. A bounce-back performance should happen. Week 2 represents an ideal opportunity for him to re-establish himself among the position's dependable fantasy options.

Week 2 Fantasy Football Sleepers

Chase McLaughlin, TB (vs. CLE)

McLaughlin quietly delivered one of the strongest opening-week performances among the sleeper options. He converted two of two field-goal attempts and all three extra-point attempts, including successful field goals from 34 and 51 yards. The Week 2 matchup with Cleveland is appealing. McLaughlin enters it with plenty of momentum. He should remain a steady fantasy option with the potential to exceed expectations.

Eddy Pineiro, SF (vs. MIA)

Pineiro also enjoyed a productive Week 1. He made two of three field-goal attempts and all three extra points. His lone miss prevented an even bigger fantasy performance. Still, he provided a solid contribution. Pineiro should remain firmly on the streaming radar heading into the matchup with Miami. If the 49ers continue operating efficiently, he has a path to another productive outing.

Jake Bates, DET (@ BUF)

Bates made the most of a busy opening week. He converted all four extra-point attempts and his lone field-goal attempt in Detroit's narrow 31-30 victory over New Orleans. Week 2 should provide even more opportunities. Detroit faces Buffalo in what has the potential to be one of the higher-scoring games on the schedule. Managers searching for a kicker with upside should keep him firmly in consideration.

Week 2 approach

Kicker rankings can be especially volatile because production is so dependent on what happens before the player even enters the field. A talented kicker can finish with virtually no fantasy points if his offense struggles to sustain drives. Another kicker can pile up points simply because his team repeatedly reaches scoring range.

That makes offensive environment so important. Dicker and Aubrey are both prime examples of why fantasy football managers should not overreact to Week 1 results. Both remain attached to offenses capable of producing considerably more in subsequent weeks.

At the same time, Week 1 provided reasons to consider players such as McLaughlin, Pineiro, and Bates. Each converted the opportunities presented to them. Their respective offenses give them reasonable paths to continued production.

There are no significant kicker injuries of note heading into Week 2 based on the available information. This means fantasy managers can focus primarily on matchups, offensive efficiency, and expected scoring opportunities.
