The Philadelphia Flyers (4-9-4) head to New York, New York, to take on the Rangers (8-7-1) at Madison Square Garden on Thursday, kicking off a 5-game road trip.
After 4 straight losses, the Rangers found themselves back in the win column in their last game, beating the St. Louis Blues. Following a red-hot start to the season, the Rangers have cooled off tremendously, winning just 2 of their last 8 games.
The Flyers, on the other hand, have not been much better. Both the Flyers and Rangers have the same number of wins over the last 10 games, but the Flyers have one more point, swapping a regulation loss for a regulation loss. The last time out for Philly, they fought the Minnesota Wild well, but could not make up for their misfortune, being unable to capitalize on their own chances.
Now, they'll get a chance to bounce back against the Rangers. Puck drop is at 7:00 PM ET at Madison Square Garden. Here is everything you need to know before the game.

Notes
The Flyers put forward one of their best fights of the season in a loss, if not their best effort, on Tuesday against the Wild. They're past the stage of moral victories, but there was a lot for the Flyers to build on from the loss. So now, they have the chance to take what they learned from Tuesday and put it together for a full 60 minutes.
With Dan Vladar getting the last two starts, despite playing well, I would expect Joseph Woll to get into the mix, getting the start against the Rangers. It has not been the best stuff in his past few starts for the Flyers, so expect Woll to be on the hunt for a rebound on Thursday.
Speaking of goaltending, Joonas Korpisalo is still out for New York, meaning it will still be one of the tandem of Dylan Garand or James Reimer starting for the Rangers. Garand got the last 2 starts for New York, so I'd expect Reimer to get the nod. Regardless, the Flyers have to take advantage of the situation.
This is also the end of a 4-game homestand for the Rangers, who, like the Flyers, head out west following Thursday's game. Expect a show from New York.
