B.T. Potter's pursuit of an NFL career isn't over yet.
The former Clemson standout has signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers , giving him another opportunity to compete for a job at football's highest level. Potter left Clemson as arguably the most decorated kicker in school history, holding program records in several major categories by the time his career came to a close.
Across five seasons with the Tigers , Potter built a reputation as one of the ACC's most reliable specialists. He finished with 73 made field goals, 234 extra points and 453 total points, all school records. He was especially dependable during his final two years in orange, converting every extra-point attempt while earning All-ACC recognition and drawing national attention as a Lou Groza Award semifinalist.
Although Potter entered the NFL with the Pittsburgh Steelers following the 2023 NFL Draft, he never appeared in a regular-season game. Instead of stepping away from football, he continued working toward another opportunity.
That chance came in the UFL, where Potter suited up for the Michigan Panthers during the 2025 season. He connected on 13 field goals, including a 56-yarder, while appearing in 12 games.
Now, after spending time proving himself in the spring league, the former Clemson record-holder will head to Tampa Bay looking to make the most of another opportunity in the NFL.
