The NFL world was stunned to see the Dallas Cowboys blow a late home lead in a crushing Week 8 loss to the Arizona Cardinals.
Despite going up 24-10 in the fourth quarter, the Cowboys fell to 3-5 following a 33-30 overtime loss at AT&T Stadium. Replacing Jacoby Brissett in the second half, Gardner Minshew sparked an upset by leading Arizona's offense to four consecutive touchdown drives.
Ben DiNucci was disgusted by his former team's performance. The CBS Sports analyst, who played three games for the Cowboys as a 2020 seventh-round pick, eviscerated them after the game.
"This was absolutely embarrassing today," DiNucci said Sunday. "They stink. I'm lost for words, honestly. They have so much talent on both sides of the ball, and year after year, week after week, all we see is just letdowns from them."
"Something needs to change"

Even after consecutive seven-win seasons, the Cowboys entered the 2026 campaign with realistic playoff hopes. A weak NFC East has given them a golden opportunity to reclaim the division crown, but inconsistency continues to plague America's Team.
Dallas has scored 109 combined points in three wins but followed each victory with a loss. The Cowboys rank 25th in rushing offense and 27th in points allowed per game.
Minshew shredded the Cowboys late in Sunday's comeback win, and the Cowboys couldn't capitalize on a late gift when Cardinals kicker Chad Ryland missed what would have been a game-winning extra point with six seconds remaining.
Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones said after the loss that he won't fire head coach Brian Schottenheimer during the season. Yet DiNucci feels the status quo isn't working in Dallas.
"At some point the same old, same old in Dallas for the Cowboys, it's not cutting it. Something needs to change," DiNucci said. "Somebody needs to look in the mirror. I don't know who it is. But that was an embarrassing loss. They had a 10-point lead with a couple minutes left. They let Arizona drive the length of the field a couple times. Tied that thing up. Should have lost in regulation, ended up losing in overtime, but this is embarrassing for the Cowboys. Embarrassing."
