Former NFL star reveals key area of Browns' QB Shedeur Sanders growth

Former NFL running back LeSean "Shady" McCoy missed that lesson because on Wednesday, he hilariously revealed his inside track to the Browns organization. Thankfully, he did so while telling of the improvement that quarterback Shedeur Sanders has made over the past year.

On McCoy's podcast with Emmanuel Acho, Speakeasy, McCoy said, "I had a chance to talk to Jerry Jeudy, and he was saying, 'right now, Shedeur looks really, really good. You can tell he's getting more comfortable in the offense, comfortable in the scheme, comfortable for not being in college and actually being a pro.'"
The way that things are set up right now in Cleveland is that it would make the most sense if Sanders got the nod to be the Browns quarterback to start the season. Cleveland has launched itself into what could potentially be a very quick rebuild. They are a quarterback away from having a legitimate roster that is to be taken seriously in the NFL.
Now, they must determine if that quarterback is on their roster right now or if he is getting ready to start his final college season in a couple of months.
The first part of Jeudy's report I'd like to throw out. This is his first year with the scheme and the offense, so inherently, he is going to get more comfortable by the day.

What is most important is that he is "getting more comfortable with actually being a pro." This is so important for Shedeur as he spent his entire college career playing for his dad, Deion "Prime" Sanders.
Last year was his first year outside the nest, and he wasn't quite ready for it all. However, what he did all offseason was go to work.
He knew what he put on tape last year was not good enough and that this year is likely his last legitimate shot at getting a starting job in Cleveland, but also being taken seriously across the entire NFL.
If he has taken the steps that people are saying that he has and is making all the right moves, he is going to give himself a legitimate chance next year.

He has put the work in; now, it's almost time to prove it all on the field.
