Fielding spent the last four seasons at Ohio State after walking on to the team in the summer of 2022. Last season, Fielding made 14 of his 20 field goal attempts and was named to the Academic All-Big Ten team.
In 2024, Jayden Fielding made 13 of his 17 field goal attempts and had a 33-yard field goal in the College Football Playoff Championship game against Notre Dame. In his career, Fielding scored 313 points, including 112 points during the national championship season in 2024.
Fielding played high school football at Clear Creek High School in League City, Texas, and IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida. He made all his field goals as a senior at IMG Academy with a long of 50 yards.
As Fielding plans to enter the transfer portal, Ohio State is gearing up for the 2026 season. After the Buckeyes' first practice earlier this month, head coach Ryan Day expressed his concerns for his team.
"Well, I think we all wanna see how the offensive line shakes out here, that's for sure," Day said, per the Associated Press. "I think the tight end room is an interesting room. I think that we do have some depth there, but who's actually gonna take the majority of those reps?"
