Brent Suter , a former Reds pitcher and 2008 Moeller High School graduate, is joining a new team for the second time in two seasons.
A reliever who signed a one-year deal with the Los Angeles Angels in January, Suter is getting traded to the Atlanta Braves in exchange for infielder Nacho Alvarez Jr. , ESPN's Jeff Passan reports . In 2026, Suter recorded a 4.12 ERA and a 1.26 WHIP with 55 strikeouts and 17 walks. He was 1-2 in three starts while appearing in 41 total games.
Suter played for the Reds in 2024 and 2025, recording a 4.52 ERA in 67.2 innings pitched last season. Cincinnati declined his 2026 option last November, making him a free agent.
