- Former Spartan linebacker released by Detroit Lions
After two weeks of National Football League play, and injuries piling up, there has been a plethora of roster moves ahead of week three matchups. In one of those roster moves, a former Spartan was released by the Detroit Lions .
Joe Bachie has had a rollercoaster of a time with the Lions. After a very strong training camp, Bachie was initially cut but then was quickly resigned to the active roster. After two weeks, he has been released once again.
Bachie has shown his value in this league as both a linebacker and a special teams player. Now without a team, he will surely have a list of suitors looking for a veteran presence.
