Whether past or present, the Pittsburgh Steelers ' brotherhood is one of the most passionate in the NFL. But like most brothers who sometimes clash, two former Steelers cornerbacks got into a verbal altercation on social media.
It all started when former Steelers cornerback Darius Slay Jr. offered some seemingly harmless commentary on Joey Porter Jr. 's level of play, praising the young defender while also criticizing his lack of interceptions. But Slay 's comments set off Steelers legend Ike Taylor .
Taylor didn't hide his feelings on social media, arguing that Slay shouldn't have taken the "bait" while publicly criticizing a teammate on the same side of the ball as him.
Slay responded and called him "sensitive as hell," which prompted Taylor to respond that he's always "sensitive" when it comes to the Steelers.
While Slay's comments on Porter seemed to have been made with a good heart, Taylor comes from a different era where any type of criticism should be kept in-house. Hopefully, these two can put this squabble behind them, as it's hard to watch two former Steelers go at each other.
