Former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Joaquin Davis tried out with the Arizona Cardinals on Tuesday.
Davis, who signed with the Steelers in June, was released as part of the team's final roster cuts in August.
Davis is a 6-foot-4, 194-pound wide receiver in his second professional season out of North Carolina Central. He was with both the Denver Broncos and Minnesota Vikings as a rookie last season, but did not appear in a game.
Davis did not have a prolific college career, topping out at NC Central with 489 yards and four touchdowns in 11 games in 2024, but he had outstanding pre-draft athletic testing numbers.

Heading into the 2025 NFL Draft, he ran a 4.36-second 40-yard dash, and posted a 42-inch vertical and a 10-foot-4 broad jump, for an overall 9.33 Relative Athletic Score out of 10.
In two preseason games, Davis played a total of 24 snaps, 22 on offense and two on punt coverage. He was targeted twice and made one catch for six yards.
The Steelers had plenty of size in their receivers room, with Davis joining fellow 6-foot-4 targets DK Metcalf and Michael Pittman Jr.
