Former North Carolina Tar Heels' standout RJ Davis just finished his first professional season, following five years of college basketball. After going undrafted, Davis spent the 2025-26 season with the Coachella Valley Lakers in the G-League.
Now, he's getting another shot to impress an NBA team and maybe earn a spot on the roster.
With the NBA Summer League beginning soon, Davis has found a new home. He will be playing for the San Antonio Spurs in the NBA Summer League, per their roster release :
The Spurs will open up their schedule in California beginning on July 3rd. After a stint out there, they will head to Las Vegas to continue their schedule.
With the Coachella Valley Lakers, Davis averaged 18.3 points, 3.7 rebounds and 4.9 assists per game last season in the G-League. He will be looking to make a good impression with a Spurs franchise that made the NBA Finals before losing to the New York Knicks .
