The French side outlasted a stubborn Paraguay team 1-0, navigating through to the next phase on the strength of a Kylian Mbappé penalty.
That critical strike pushed Mbappé to the forefront of the Golden Boot race with an impressive seven goals and two assists, keeping him battling it out with elite goalscorers Erling Haaland and Lionel Messi .
Morocco, on the other hand, earned their place in this blockbuster fixture by tearing open Canada in a spectacular second-half display, powered by an Azzedine Ounahi brace and a stoppage-time finisher from Soufiane Rahimi .
The French attack includes Ousmane Dembélé and Michael Olise alongside Mbappé, while the Moroccan squad will lean heavily on the star power of Achraf Hakimi , Brahim Díaz , Youssef En-Nesyri , and Noussair Mazraoui .
