- Georgia football's Earnest Greene not on NFL underclassmen draft list
Georgia football had four underclassmen listed among 63 players eligible for the NFL Draft announced by the league on Thursday, but offensive tackle Earnest Greene was not one of them.
Greene made no announcement on his plans for 2026 as the deadline passed on Wednesday, Jan. 14, but Greene's return to the Bulldogs would give them their most experienced offensive lineman in 2026.
The redshirt junior would not be eligible for the 2026 draft since he did not submit paperwork, a league spokesman confirmed.
Redshirt junior quarterback Gunner Stockton , as expected, also is set to return, as is junior tight end Lawson Luckie , who announced on Instagram Thursday afternoon he's returning.
Linebacker CJ Allen , wide receiver Zachariah Branch and offensive tackle Monroe Freeling are among 42 players granted special eligibility and defensive tackle Christen Miller is among 21 eligible after fulfilling degree requirements.
Greene is a three-year starter who started nine games this past season at right tackle, nine at left tackle in 2024 and 14 in that spot in 2023.
The 6-foot-4, 320-pound Los Angeles native did not allow a sack over 497 snaps this season, according to Pro Football Focus.
Greene missed several games this season while battling a back injury.
He would help anchor an offensive line that lost left tackle Freeling and left guard Micah Morris , but returns center Drew Bobo , right guard Dontrell Glover and guard/tackle Juan Gaston .
