The Georgia Bulldogs are coming off a significant rivalry victory this past weekend over the Florida Gators, their sixth straight in this game and a win which should get things back on track coming off the pre-bye week defeat to Auburn.
Now into the month of November, Georgia has continuously re-established itself as one of the best teams in the country and the favorite to win the SEC for what would be a third straight year. If they are going to make that happen though, the Dawgs are going to have to navigate a tricky November schedule with multiple potential landmines.
The first game of the month though is not catching anyone by surprise, and it's been marked as the potential biggest of the year since all the way back in the offseason. Hitting the road once again, the Dawgs head to another place Kirby Smart has never won before in Oxford to face the Ole Miss Rebels.
Kirby Smart Will Attempt to Earn First Victory in Oxford
Though he has only had two shots during his run as the head coach at Georgia, it's not often at this point in his career that Smart is attempting to win somewhere in the SEC for the first time. On top of that, he will be facing a Rebels squad which at times has been one of the best in the conference led by a superstar quarterback that Georgia is all too familiar with.
After Trinidad Chambliss absolutely torched the Bulldogs last year in the Sugar Bowl to end the season, they will be hungry to get their revenge. However, Georgia must approach this as an individual game rather than using any sort of external motivating factor, because this Ole Miss team is plenty good enough to hand the Dawgs their second loss of the season.
Chambliss has not had the best run over the last two games against the Texas Longhorns and Auburn Tigers, which is even more cause for concern as he tries to bounce back and earn a huge victory over Georgia.
With the Rebels on the ropes and playing under the lights in Oxford, it's going to be an absolutely wild environment and one to which the Bulldogs must be ready for.
If there's one team in the conference who has had Georgia's number over the last couple of years, it's been the Ole Miss Rebels, and this is the chance for the Dawgs to be able to not only earn a huge win, but take a massive step towards Atlanta.
