Former Georgia offensive tackle Jamal Meriweather has signed to transfer to Miami out of the NCAA Transfer Portalon Friday, according to On3's Pete Nakos. As a redshirt sophomore last season, Meriweather will have two more years of college eligibility remaining with the Hurricanes.
Meriweather appeared in 15 games over the past two seasons in Athens, including 12 this past season as a key reserve offensive lineman. Meriweather also appeared in three games in 2024 as a redshirt freshman against Clemson , Tennessee Tech and UMass .
The 6-foot-7 and 305-pound Meriweather signed with the Bulldogs as a three-star prospect in the 2023 recruiting cycle out of Brunswick (Ga.) High . There, he was ranked as the No. 38 offensive tackle, the No. 62 player out of Georgia and the No. 629 player overall, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking , a weighted average that utilizes all three major recruiting media companies.
Meriweather is the 14th Georgia player to enter the portal since the two-week window opened Jan. 2nd, and third offensive lineman, joining fellow offensive tackles Nyler Daniels and Bo Hughley , the latter of whom committed to Colorado on Monday. Meriweather followed Bulldogs cornerback Dominick Kelly into the portal after the now-former UGA defensive back entered on Wednesday .

Wilson, a native of Venice (Fla.), spent one season with the Tigers after two years at Georgia, where he signed as a five-star recruit in the Class of 2023. He appeared in 26 games over two years with the Bulldogs, but finally broke out with the Tigers in 2025.
Across 13 games, he finished 23 tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss and nine sacks to lead one of the nation's best pass-rushing defenses. He was also credit with 54 quarterback pressures, according to Pro Football Focus, one of the highest rates in the entire country.
The 6-foot-4, 250-pounder joins a group that is set to return former five-stars Justin Scott and Armondo Blount on the interior but will likely be replacing as many as eight starters leaving for graduation or the NFL Draft.
