The Giants are signing Jason Pinnock to a one-year deal after the safety spent last season with the San Francisco 49ers .
The deal is for the veteran minimum of around $1.2 million, reports SNY's NFL Insider Connor Hughes .
Pinnock, who spent three seasons with Big Blue before his lone campaign in San Francisco , adds another experienced starter to what looks to be a revamped secondary under new DC Dennard Wilson. He has 46 starts in 76 games to his name, including 37 with the Giants and seven last season with the 49ers.
During the 2025 season, the 26-year-old recorded 41 tackles (27 solo) with one tackle for loss.
Pinnock was more productive during his time with the Giants, as over 46 total games, he recorded two interceptions (including a 102-yard pick-6), 10 passes defensed, three forced fumbles, one recovery, 6.6 sacks, 211 tackles (143 solo), and 12 tackles for loss.
Originally a fifth-round draft pick by the Jets in 2021, he played just the one season for Gang Green, appearing in 12 games (two starts) and mainly as a cornerback, before being transitioned to safety and ultimately released rather unexpectedly at the end of training camp before the Giants snapped him up off waivers.
The Giants' secondary saw Cor'Dale Flottand Dane Belton leave, but John Harbaugh's new regime has added Ar'Darius Washington and Greg Newsome II , in addition to Pinnock.
