The New York Giants brought Odell Beckham Jr. back for more than nostalgia, and a minicamp video gave fans reason to pay attention. The veteran receiver showed movement that could matter before training camp.

Beckham's return carries real on-field importance because the Giants' receiver room already has injury questions. Malik Nabers remains sidelined, while Darius Slayton continues working back from sports hernia surgery.
That makes Beckham's form worth tracking closely. During mandatory minicamp at the Quest Diagnostics Training Center, he showed route-running burst and enough fluidity to create optimism about what he may still offer.
ESPN's Jordan Raanan posted on X, formerly Twitter, sharing a video of the former LSU standout running routes during minicamp and giving Giants fans a clearer look at how he is moving.
"This is what Odell Beckham Jr. looked like running routes this week at Giants mandatory minicamp."
The clip does not guarantee a large 2026 role, but it offered a promising June snapshot. Beckham looked smooth enough to keep attention on how he progresses once padded practices begin.

That matters because New York signed him to a low-risk veteran-minimum deal after he had not played a live snap since December 2024. The Giants do not need him to be a headline addition. They need a useful option who can still threaten defenses.
The early signs also connect to Jaxson Dart . The 33-year-old wide receiver has built chemistry with the young quarterback while Nabers has missed first-team work, creating a window for added reps.
One minicamp highlight included Beckham catching a deep touchdown over rookie cornerback Colton Hood. That play can shift expectations quickly, even in June.
The sentimental side remains obvious. Beckham once became a franchise icon in New York. Still, this comeback is not only about memories. If he keeps moving like this, he can give Dart another trustworthy target and the Giants a needed layer of receiver depth.
