- Giants interviewing 3 Broncos coaches, including a surprise choice
Well, this is a surprise.
We knew Denver Broncos defensive coordinator Vance Joseph and quarterbacks coach Davis Webb were both drawing significant interest from NFL teams seeking new head coaches. Now, a third, unexpected name has entered the mix.

The New York Giants have requested an interview with Broncos assistant head coach and special teams coordinator Darren Rizzi, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter . Rizzi previously served as an interim head coach with the New Orleans Saints in 2024, so he does have some experience running a team, but New York's interest surprised us.
Rizzi is a well-guarded special teams coach across the league, but Denver had several high-profile blunders in the kicking game this season, including a " leverage " penalty that cost the team a win in Week 2. Broncos coach Sean Payton has backed Rizzi throughout the season, though, and Giants general manager Joe Schoen overlapped with Rizzi with the Miami Dolphins from 2009-2016.
New York is also interviewing Joseph today , and they have also expressed interest in Webb , according to KUSA-TV's Mike Klis. Clearly, the Giants like the staff that Payton has assembled in Denver.
