The New York Giants have agreed to a five-year deal with John Harbaugh to make him their next head coach, but they apparently checked in on ex-Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin beforehand.
NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, who appeared on Sunday's edition of The Insiders, reported that sources told him "a member of Giants ownership reached out to Mike Tomlin" just after he decided to step down as head coach of the Steelers.
Multiple reports indicate that Tomlin has reiterated that he has no plans to coach next season, but the Steelers still own his trade rights should he want to return in 2027.
While Steelers fans love to criticize Tomlin's inefficiency in the playoffs, he's clearly a much-sought-after head coach considering the Giants' interest.
