- Giants' Secondary Should Surprisingly Be on Notice Against Titans

The New York Giants ' secondary was a major problem area entering the NFL season, and with Paulson Adebo now on injured reserve as well as both Deonte Banks and Tyler Nubin battling calf issues, things are now even more dicey.
The Giants were lit up by Matthew Stafford and the Los Angeles Rams last week (without Puka Nacua , I might add), but you would think the Tennessee Titans would provide some relief on Sunday afternoon, right?

Well, not necessarily.
No one will confuse the Titans for being offensive juggernauts, but we also can't sit here and pretend that this team can't move the football.
For starters, while Brian Daboll was a subpar head coach, he is a good offensive coordinator ... and don't think for a second that he hasn't had this date circled on his calendar since the schedules were released.
Plus, while Cam Ward has looked mostly uninspiring since his rookie campaign last year, he hasn't been terrible, and he is a rather dangerous dual threat.
That brings us to the Titans' weaponry, which is not as bad as you would think.

Tony Pollard and Tyjae Spears are both very capable running backs, and both are decent pass-catchers out of the backfield. But it's Tennessee's young wide receivers that should have New York a bit concerned.
Elic Ayomanor is an underrated stud. I loved him at Stanford, and I loved what he did during his rookie campaign in 2025. Then, there's rookie receiver Carnell Tate, who was heavily linked to the Giants before the NFL Draft back in April.
Of course, former Big Blue receiver Wan'Dale Robinson — who finished with over 1,000 yards last season — is on board, as well, and while Calvin Ridley may not be the heavily-featured wide out he once was, he is still a threat.
Throw Chimere Dike and tight end Gunnar Helm into the mix, and there is every reason to take the Titans' aerial attack very seriously ... especially when the Giants' secondary is already compromised.

We're all so focused on New York's quarterback situation now that Jaxson Dart is out that no one has really stopped to wonder about how the Giants' defensive backfield will contain Tennessee's pass-catchers, many of whom are big-bodied weapons.
The Giants are at home, so they should have a great chance of winning this game even with Jameis Winston calling the shots. But they need to be careful not to underestimate a Titans team that came this close to upsetting the Philadelphia Eagles last weekend.
