JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Jaguars wrapped up their final weekend practice of training camp on Sunday, and we are close to the real thing in Week 1.
But Day 17 of training camp proved that, above all, camp is going to march on for at least a little longer. So, what were the highs and lows of Sunday's practice at the Miller Electric Center? We review below with The Good and The Not So Good.

The Jaguars' offensive line looked ... really healthy on Sunday! Outside of a few third/fourth-team offensive linemen and Patrick Mekari , the Jaguars had the entire slate of top offensive line combinations at least on the field Sunday. The unit has dealt with a plethora of injuries since training camp started, but the reinforcements have seemingly officially arrived.
Both Wyatt Milum and Chuma Edoga were back at practice after missing earlier in the week, while Cole Van Lanen also went through individual drills for the first time in camp. New guard Daniel Faalele is already running with the second-team offensive line as well. For a team that started zero first- or second-team offensive linemen vs. the Panthers on Friday, the line is trending upward.

I thought, all things considered, Sunday was a productive day for the Jaguars. They will not be in pads until Tuesday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers , and the starters have been off since Wednesday, but Sunday's practice was still a lively and fiesty one. There was a ton of jawing back and forth between the offense and defense, and it was clear that this was not going to another low-level energy day like the one the Jaguars went through earlier in the week as injuries stacked up.
"Yeah, especially for the joint with Tampa and just getting those guys a ton of reps and trying to maximize these ops [opportunities], because we won't be in pads again until game week, after this week," Coen said after practice.
"And so, that's the reality of just how things fall and where we're at, and we ended up having one more padded day than last year's training camp. So, you got to maximize these ops, and the continued continuity and chemistry is so important that every single time we step out here, there has to be real intentionality and not just, 'Okay, this is another training camp practice.' Like, that isn't it anymore, guys. We're building towards something, we're sharpening our edge towards something, and I thought, [RB] Chris Rodriguez [Jr.] today, he practiced that way. And we got to continue to get guys to do the same."

It has become clear that Matt Dickerson is a lock for the Jaguars' 53-man roster in a week. He has had an all-around impressive training camp, and then he took it up a notch on Sunday with an incredibly athletic play to intercept Trevor Lawrence on a screen and return it the other way for a touchdown. This was not a doofus Will Levis-like play where Lawrence just threw it blindly to the defender; Dickerson went up in the air and plucked the ball before stiff-arming the running backright after the catch.
Coen was asked about Dickerson after practice and he went on to wax poetic about the Jaguars' veteran backup. For any doubts about his place on the roster moving forward, just take a look at what Coen had to say.
"He's a, I don't want to say a rock, but he is so consistent with the way that he comes out and hits blocks. The way that he strikes blocks, the way that he can play firm at the point of attack. His hands are so heavy," Coens said. "When you just shake his hand, you just grab his hand. He's so dense and thick, and he's violent when he can be able to get to his hands in extension and shed. He's a strong dude and his journey is so impressive. It's such a great learning op for so many young players that not everybody's a one-through-five draft pick, and life's easy and their career's easy and they make it. Like, he had to work really hard to finally, truly make it. And so, I'm glad that it's with us. I'm glad that he's able to call this place home for now, and he's making a huge impact for our team."
Jacksonville Jaguars offensive tackle Wyatt Milum (64) looks on during the sixth day of NFL training camp at the Miller Electric Center on Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2026, in Jacksonville, Fla. | USA TODAY Network via Reuters Connect
This has ... not been a great training camp for Wyatt Milum. He entered camp as the clear leader in the clubhouse to start at right guard with Patrick Mekari not in practice, but he was so-so before more injuries meant the Jaguars also had to flex him out to right tackle, where he had some issues at times in pass-pro. He then missed this week of practice with a minor injury, which helped open the door for the guard duo of Emmanuel Pregnon/Ezra Cleveland to sign in the joint practice.
Milum is now back on the field, but he ran with the second-team at right guard while Pregnon, a rookie, got the nod at left guard. Safe to say the Jaguars simply feel like Pregnon is one of their five-best healthy linemen and Milum is not, because they could have just easily left Cleveland at left guard and put Milum back into the right guard spot he started camp at. Milum still has a chance to help the Jaguars, but he has certainly slipped down the depth chart since camp opened in July.

The Jaguars mostly worked the passing game on Sunday since they weren't in pads, which meant a 7-on-7 period and a lot of red-zone work. There were some positives, such as an impressive Nate Boerkircher catch and Parker Washington beating Jourdan Lewis for a near-touchdown, but there were also a lot of footballs on the ground.
This is not even to say that Trevor Lawrence was inaccurate or made poor decisions. There were not many throws that stood out negatively from the franchise passer, but he did have several attempts fall incomplete because the receiver did not finish the rep against the defense. The Jaguars are going to have to lean on their passing game this year, and they need it to look better than it did on Sunday.
Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Jakobi Meyers (3) looks to catch a pass during Day 15 of NFL training camp at the Miller Electric Center on Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2026, in Jacksonville, Fla. | USA TODAY Network via Reuters Connect
Perhaps one reason the Jaguars' wide receiver room looked a bit off on Sunday is because they did not have the safety blanket of the offense. Wide receiver Jakobi Meyers seemingly got injured on Wednesday against the Panthers and subsequently missed Sunday's practice, and the void that he left was clear as the passing game sputtered and far too many pass breakups were recorded. Meyers stablized the passing game a year ago, and there could be issues if he has to miss any real time based on what we saw on Sunday.
