- Green Bay Packers: Camp Standout Suffers Major Setback Ahead of Week 4
Green Bay Packers defensive tackle Warren Brinson was having a strong training camp and was poised for a key rotational role on the defensive line. Unfortunately, Brinson suffered a calf injury during a pre-game warm-up before the second preseason game against the Broncos. As a result, the former sixth-round pick missed the final weeks of training camp and the first three regular-season games.
Brinson returned to practice on Wednesday, but it was short-lived.

Warren Brinson did not participate in Thursday's practice and is not expected to practice on Friday. During Friday's press conference, Matt LaFleur told the media that Brinson suffered a non-contact groin injury after slipping, as reported by Wes Hodkiewicz of the team's website. LaFleur said he is expected to miss a "significant amount of time," making him a prime injured reserve candidate. This is a massive setback for a young defensive tackle who was primed for a key backup rotational role.

Devonte Wyatt (ankle) and Javon Hargrave (concussion/knee) have been full participants this week and, for the first time, were not listed on the injury report. Meanwhile, Karl Brooks, who sat out Wednesday with an illness, returned to practice on Thursday in a limited capacity and is participating on Friday, as the Packers will release the final injury report later. However, Anthony Campbell (ankle) has not practiced this week and is expected to miss his second straight game.
