- Guardians score, recap as Cooper Ingle's first hit leads to win
CLEVELAND — In an effort to get him jumpstarted, the Guardians moved Steven Kwan back to the leadoff spot for their June 27 game against the Seattle Mariners at Progressive Field.
A recent series of injuries has left the Guardians searching for offense as they try to keep pace with the Chicago White Sox in the American League Central division. That led to manager Stephen Vogt re-inserting Kwan into the top spot in the order. Although Kwan had a quiet game, the Guardians did just enough to outlast Seattle 4-3.
