Saturday's Week 3 meeting is no-doubt a Big game for the UCLA Bruins . Not only is UCLA beginning their Big Ten Conference season against Purdue , it's also one of the easiest games on the Bruins schedule.
For the Week 3 game, Bob Chesney and his team will turn to a new group of captains, with offensive lineman Hall Schmidt and linebacker Jalen Woods joining UCLA's permanent captains quarterback Nico Iamaleava and linebacker Sammy Omosigho as their captains this week.

Woods gets the nod after an impressive showing in Week 2, where he put up nine tackles, a sack and an interception. Schmidt had a strong game earning a spot on PFF's College Football Week 2: Team of the Week for his performance against San Diego State .
Iamaleava and Omosigho haven't been slacking either. Omosigho has 21 tackles with a sack and a forced fumble through his first two games as a Bruin. It hasn't been the start to the season that Iamaleava had hoped for, still waiting for his first passing touchdown of the season, but he's led the UCLA offense to a 2-0 start to the year. Through two games, Iamaleava has thrown for 335 yards, adding another 86 on the ground along with a rushing touchdown.
It will be a late night in Pasadena, with the Bruins kicking off against the Boilermakers at 8:00p.m. for a late-night Big Ten showdown.
