Romeo Doubs will not play when the New England Patriots face the Chicago Bears on Thursday Night Football. The wide receiver has been a constant feature on the Patriots' offense this season, helping the team build a 4-2 record through six games.
Doubs' absence comes as New England looks to extend its winning streak after beating the New York Jets 26-19 in Week 6. The Patriots have won three consecutive games and sit behind the Buffalo Bills (5-1) in the AFC East.
The Patriots will now have to adjust their receiving options against a Chicago team that also enters the game with a 4-2 record.

Doubs was placed on injured reserve Monday after injuring his shoulder during the Patriots' win over the Jets. He caught a 42-yard touchdown pass but landed hard on his right shoulder and left the game.
His placement on injured reserve means he must miss at least four games. ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported that Doubs is hopeful of returning after New England's Week 11 bye.
Doubs has recorded 261 receiving yards and three touchdowns this season, and his absence will be a significant loss for Drake Maye and the Patriots' passing game.
Patriots to Adjust Without Romeo Doubs
New England still has several options at wide receiver. A.J. Brown is available after returning from an ankle injury in Week 6, while DeMario Douglas, Kyle Williams and Efton Chism III could also help fill the void left by Doubs.
The Patriots visit the Bears at Soldier Field, with kickoff scheduled for 8:15 p.m. ET. The game will stream live on Prime Video.
