For Haris Tabaković , the Bundesliga season ended in bitter fashion after he suffered what appears to be a serious injury during Borussia Mönchengladbach 's 4-0 win over TSG Hoffenheim on the final matchday.
According to Bosnian outlet klix.ba, the striker sustained an ankle fracture and is now expected to miss the World Cup with Bosnia & Herzegovina, although an official medical diagnosis is still pending.
Tabaković has enjoyed a strong campaign on loan at Gladbach from Hoffenheim, scoring 15 goals across the season.
The injury could hardly have come at a worse time for the 31-year-old forward, whose future is uncertain.
