Satou Sabally will no longer play in the remainder of this WNBA season after her second concussion. Sabally had a nasty head injury during a matchup against the Aces, after she was hit in the head by NaLyssa Smith .
Sabally exited the game for a while but then returned, which made fans believe that she was fully alright to continue playing. However, a few minutes later she left the game and since June 23rd, she has not been seen on the court again.
Sabally's head coach then admitted that the Liberty star would be taking some time to recover, especially since it was her second head injury in a span of one year alone. At that point in time, Chris Demarco seemed quite optimistic that Sabally would soon return after recovering.
"She's gonna be away from the team for a little bit. It's her second significant head injury in the past 12 months. As with all our players, health will always be the focus. We look forward to getting her back. She's just taking some time right now." Chris Demarco said.
" Satou Sabally will miss the remainder of the season due to a head injury she suffered in the June 23 game against the Aces, the team announced today." Annie Costabile shared on her X account.
Since the announcement, Liberty fans have been wondering what will become of their team for the remainder of this season, with an important player like Satou Sabally missing from the roster. Sabally admitted in a statement that she hopes to listen to her body right now and put her health first.

Sabally is not the only German player who is absent as a result of an injury, with her sister too missing the World Cup because of a calf injury. Leonie Fiebich too is missing the World Cup because of her foot injury. According to analysts, Team Germany is bound to struggle in the World Cup, mainly as a result of their injury woes. However, the team itself is keeping their hopes up.
