Two important players were upgraded from probable to available when the Texas Longhorns released the SEC-mandated injury report on Thursday prior to Saturday's matchup against the Mississippi State Bulldogs in Austin.

Listed as probable on Wednesday, senior running back Hollywood Smothers (shoulder) and junior wide receiver Cam Coleman (shoulder) were both removed from Thursday's player availability report. Smothers missed one game with the injury while Coleman left last weekend's win over Ole Miss after landing on his shoulder trying to make a catch on the first play of the third quarter.
The status of sophomore wide receiver Kaliq Lockett (probable), but junior edge Colin Simmons (ankle) was downgraded from questionable to doubtful, in line with previous reports he was likely to miss multiple games with his injury.
Senior left tackle Trevor Goosby (knee) and freshman edge Richard Wesley (ankle) were both ruled out on Wednesday. Head coach Steve Sarkisian said Thursday that he believes Wesley could return in the next several weeks .
