- Hoosiers Daily News: Markus Burton named to Bob Cousy Award watchlist

It's watchlist season for men's college basketball and we've already got a Hoosier's name thrown into the ring.
Markus Burton, set to start at point guard for Indiana men's basketball this season, was named as one of The Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame 20 players to watch for the Bob Cousy Award, which recognizes the top player at the point guard position in the country. The award is, of course, named in honor of Boston Celtics and Holy Cross great Bob Cousy.
Burton joined Indiana this past offseason after transferring in from Notre Dame, where he averaged 18.5 points, 2.8 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game in an injury-shortened 2025-26 season. He'll look to lead the Hoosiers out of the backcourt this season under head coach Darian DeVries.
