There is already intense speculation surrounding his future with the Blues, and something like this could tip the scales in favour of a departure for the winger.
He has attracted interest from the likes of Manchester United and Aston Villa this summer, and both sides are still looking for wingers, although it may depend on outgoings.
It will be interesting to see how the situation develops in the coming weeks, and if the former Marseille man pushes to follow in the same direction as Gueye.
The Toffees are understood to be reluctant to allow him to leave, and they hold the power, given that he is contracted until 2029.

However, there will be doubts in the back of supporters' heads while he keeps refusing to sign new deals at the Hill Dickinson Stadium and pines to play European football.
We will only know when the transfer window closes whether he is remaining with the L3 club.
