- Indoor Football League team Arkansas Diamonds move to Little Rock’s Barton Coliseum

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The professional indoor football team Arkansas Diamonds announced Tuesday that it was moving to Little Rock.
A team spokesperson said Barton Coliseum will serve as the team's home arena. Officials said the organization would invest in Barton with a modernization program to improve the experience for fans, players and partners.

The modernization program would not impact Barton's historic identity, officials said. They added that the renewed investment and activity would create opportunities for additional sporting events, concerts, community programming and entertainment throughout the year.
As part of the move, the Diamonds have joined the Indoor Football League, which team officials called a "larger professional platform."
Team owner Mark Bertel said what is being done belongs to Arkansas.
"I've lived in and loved Arkansas my entire life," Bertel said. "This is an opportunity to build something meaningful, give our players the environment they deserve and create a professional sports organization Arkansas can be proud of. This isn't Little Rock's team and it isn't my team. This is Arkansas's team."
