Kevin Gausman's time in Toronto has taken another step toward an ending, with the veteran pitcher reportedly listing his mansion for $6.885 million. He purchased the property for $7.65 million in March 2022, leaving the current asking price $765,000 below his original purchase price.
The listing, reported by Blue Jays Insider , comes months after Toronto traded Gausman to the Chicago Cubs at the 2026 MLB trade deadline. The move also adds another complication for fans who had hoped the right-hander might return to the Blue Jays in free agency.
The Toronto property reportedly spans nearly 5,000 square feet and features six bedrooms and seven bathrooms. Its amenities include a custom chef's kitchen, a heated driveway and a spacious backyard. The house was built in 2019, and Gausman purchased it shortly after signing his five-year, $110 million contract with Toronto.
The price difference represents a potential loss on the original purchase price, although the final financial outcome will depend on the eventual sale price and associated transaction costs. The current listing does not establish what Gausman will ultimately receive for the property.

Gausman spent four and a half seasons with Toronto before the Blue Jays traded him to Chicago on Aug. 2. He went 5-10 with a 4.38 ERA across 23 starts for Toronto in 2026 before the move.
The Cubs' postseason run ended in the National League Wild Card Series against the San Diego Padres. Gausman is now facing questions about his playing future as he prepares for free agency.
As Heavy reported , the home listing also arrives after speculation about a possible reunion with Toronto. Gausman has spoken warmly about his connection to the city, making the decision to put the property on the market a notable development.
For now, the $6.885 million asking price marks a change from the investment Gausman made in 2022. Whether the mansion sells at that figure remains to be seen, but its listing adds another sign that his Toronto chapter may be closing.
