One NFL insider wants to put an end to anyone's belief that quarterback Aaron Rodgers is going to the Arizona Cardinals .
There has been a growing belief that quarterback Aaron Rodgers has real interest in joining the Arizona Cardinals instead of reuniting with the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2026. However, one NFL insider is doing his best to put those rumors to bed.
Josh Weinfuss of ESPN revealed that he asked a source if all the noise about Rodgers going to the Cardinals is real.
Their response was: "Not at all," according to Weinfuss .
Rodgers signing with the Cardinals never really made a ton of sense. While they have an intriguing slew of playmakers in All-Pro tight end Trey McBride , wide receivers Marvin Harrison Jr. , Michael Wilson and Kendrick Bourne , and running backs Jeremiyah Love, Tyler Allgeier and James Conner , they also finished 3-14 last season.
That mark seems very unlikely to change, too, after two teams in the NFC West (the Seattle Seahawks and Los Angeles Rams ) just represented the conference in the NFC Championship game last season, and then the Seahawks went on to win the Super Bowl.
Of course, only Rodgers knows the true answer to the questions of whether he is still going to play in 2026 and for what team. However, the Steelers have remained confident that he will end up back in the Black and Gold.

To help their case, the Steelers also have a bit of control over Rodgers after offering him a UFA tender.
It's a one-year contract at a 10% raise from his previous salary, but it allows them to retain his rights throughout the free agent process or they'll receive a compensatory pick in return.
