- Jacob Misiorowski earns high praise from Hall of Famer and former Brewers star after World Series run
The Milwaukee Brewers secured the World Series crown with a 4-1 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays in Game 5 in St. Petersburg, setting off an emotional celebration led by starter Jacob Misiorowski.
As the team soaked in the moment, Misiorowski praised several teammates , including William Contreras, before a Hall of Fame former Brewers star joined the conversation.
Rollie Fingers, the Hall of Fame reliever who spent parts of four seasons with Milwaukee between 1981 and 1985, spoke with a local FOX station about the experience of watching the Brewers' ace in action.

"For a tall, thin guy, he gets it up there in a hurry, I don't think I'd want to hit against him, he's nasty," Fingers remarked.
Fingers secured his place in Cooperstown on August 2, 1992, after earning both the American League Cy Young Award and MVP honors during his standout 1981 season with Milwaukee.
Jacob Misiorowski made his mark on the World Series by unleashing a record-setting 103.5 mph fastball. The Brewers ace logged more than 10 innings across the Fall Classic, allowing just one earned run on six hits while recording five strikeouts and two walks. His efforts helped Milwaukee finish the series and capture the first World Series championship in franchise history.

With Misiorowski leading the way and the rest of the staff delivering, Murphy has plenty of reason to feel confident about Milwaukee's pitching future.
Not many expected the Brewers to get past the Dodgers this season, but the 24-year-old ace played a major role in proving those expectations wrong. His breakout campaign has earned him recognition, and a World Series ring will soon add another milestone to his career, while also giving franchise greats like Fingers plenty to celebrate.
