Jacksonville Jaguars coach Liam Coen confirmed Monday that defensive tackle DaVon Hamilton and safety Eric Murray suffered season-ending injuries during Sunday's 42-7 victory vs. the Indianapolis Colts.
Hamilton sustained a torn quadriceps and left the field on a cart in the second quarter at EverBank Stadium. Murray injured his elbow on the opening kickoff. Neither player returned to the game after leaving the field.
The losses leave the Jaguars without two defensive starters after improving to 5-2 and maintaining their lead in the AFC South.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport relayed Coen's confirmation Monday on X, formerly Twitter, following his earlier report on Hamilton's injury.
Hamilton's absence removes a vital piece of the NFL's top rushing defense. Jacksonville has allowed just 77.4 rushing yards per game, with the veteran nose tackle helping control the middle of the line.
Through seven games, Hamilton recorded 16 tackles, a half-sack, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery. The 29-year-old is in the final season of a three-year, $34.5 million extension signed in April 2023.
Murray's injury creates another opening in the secondary. The 32-year-old safety had 15 tackles in six starts after joining the Jaguars on a three-year, $19.5 million contract in 2025.
Coen said both players will go on injured reserve in the coming days, forcing the Jaguars to adjust at two levels of its defense.
The timing adds urgency ahead of the November 10 trade deadline. Jacksonville was already been exploring defensive-line help, and Hamilton's absence increases that need as they try to protect their division lead without two experienced starters.
