NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported Friday that a procedure on Thursday uncovered Jaguars' left tackle Anton Harrison's torn ACL, according to NBC Sports .
League sources told Rapoport the injury is to his right knee, per ESPN's report .
FANTASY FOOTBALL RANKINGS: QB Week 7 • RB Week 7 • D/ST Week 7 • TE Week 7
Harrison was hurt in Jacksonville's Week 5 win over the Eagles and went on injured reserve before Week 6.
The team hoped he could come back this season, CBS Sports notes . The expectation was a routine arthroscopic procedure. Instead, Rapoport said , surgeons found more damage than anyone planned for.
Walker Little steps in at a spot that was already shaky
Little, a veteran swing tackle, took over for Harrison in Week 5 and started Week 6 against Houston, CBS says . Now the job is his for the rest of the year.
Harrison's season hadn't been smooth even before the injury. He played right tackle his first three seasons in Jacksonville, then moved left in training camp while Cole Van Lanen was sidelined. Jaguars Wire reports that the team kept him on the left side even after Van Lanen came back.
Through four games, he ranked 32nd among tackles in pass-blocking grade and 23rd in run-blocking, according to the same report, citing PFF.

Those numbers are a snapshot, not a verdict. But they help explain why the loss isn't as clear-cut as it might look. The Jaguars aren't losing an elite protector for Trevor Lawrence. They're losing a young starter who was still adjusting to the position.
Harrison's contract situation adds a wrinkle for next year
Harrison enters the final year of his rookie deal in 2027, NBC Sports notes . He was a first-round pick in 2023. A major knee injury in a contract year complicates any decision about his future.
Jacksonville will have to weigh a full recovery against whatever it learns about him at left tackle, and a rehab that cuts into the start of next season would only make that harder.
CBS Sports laid out options for the Jaguars as the trade deadline approaches in early November. Offensive tackle is rarely cheap at the deadline, and plenty of teams in the same spot will be asking the same questions.
The simpler view is this. Little is the starter, and Van Lanen is healthy. The Jaguars can play out the schedule with what they have. But protecting Lawrence's blind side is the most important job on the line, and an injury like this tests how deep a front office is willing to go.
Over the next two weeks, watch whether Jacksonville treats this as a bump or a real hole.
