Jaguars right guard Patrick Mekari recently underwent surgery on his back and will miss some time, NFL Media reports.
Mekari's prognosis is unclear.
NFL Media adds that Mekari is expected to play this season but could start the season on injured reserve. He would miss at least the first four games on IR.

Wyatt Milum , who played only 96 offensive snaps in 2025 as a rookie, is listed as the second-team right guard. But Walker Little , who currently is out with an injury, and Jonah Monheim have also seen time there.
The Jaguars are banged up in the offensive line. In addition to Mekari and Little, offensive tackle Chuma Edoga also is out with an injury, and offensive tackle Cole Van Lanen is on the active/PUP list.
