Ross Matiscik's tenure with the Jaguars
Matiscik joined the Jaguars in 2020 as an undrafted free agent. He has started 101 games since then.
Recapping Ross Matiscik's 2025 season
Since 2023, he has made the Pro Bowl all three seasons and was named a first-team All-Pro in 2023 and 2025, along with being a second-team All-Pro in 2024. Last season, Matiscik ranked tied for third among long-snappers in tackles and played 123 special teams tackles.
Looking ahead to 2026 for Ross Matiscik
The Jaguars signed Matiscik to a contract extension fairly recently, a deal that makes him the highest-paid long-snapper in the NFL. It is Matiscik who sets the table for punter Logan Cooke and kicker Cam Little , and the success that those two have had. The expectation is that he will continue to provide that stability.
"The way you see them work every day, there's a reason why they're so talented and why they're so good," special teams coordinator Heath Farwell said, via Jaguars.com . "They're typically the first guys out here on the field warming up, getting ready, prepping, they are so much about it. It's important to be great. They help each other; they hold each other accountable. Together the three of them, they bond and it's special to watch."
