The Jacksonville Jaguars announced that they signed 18 undrafted free agents following the conclusion of the 2026 NFL draft. Let's take a closer look at these players and highlight why each could make a potential roster push.
Up next is Utah State wide receiver Brady Boyd.
What to know about WR Brady Boyd
Boyd spent the 2021 season at Minnesota , three seasons at Texas Tech, and this past season at Utah State. Over his first four seasons, Boyd had 39 total targets, but he took on a much more significant role at Utah State, totaling 86 targets. He would go on to catch 46 of those passes for 734 yards with eight touchdowns. Boyd averaged 16.0 yards per reception. The bulk of Boyd's snaps came from the slot, but he has experience lining up out wide as well. He was effective after the catch, averaging 4.6 yards after the catch per reception.
Brady Boyd's athletic profile
Brady Boyd's scouting report
"Fifth-year senior with the height/weight/speed numbers to get a look from the slot despite just a single season of major production. Boyd uses his hands and separation burst to create an opening for his quarterback. He's unpolished and inefficient as a route-runner but has some potential in that area. While he has deep-ball value when that branch of the route tree is utilized, average hands and below-average ball skills when contested could set him back as he pursues a roster spot." - Lance Zierlein, NFL.com
Could Brady Boyd make a roster push with the Jaguars ?
If Step 1 for a UDFA when it comes to making the 53-man roster is performing well throughout training camp, then Step 2 is that the player must be at a position where there is a roster spot or two up for grabs. Before the draft, the receiver position fit into that bucket, but not so much anymore. The Jaguars would select two wide receivers, taking Josh Cameron and CJ Williams.
Those two, along with Parker Washington , Jakobi Meyers , Brian Thomas Jr. , and Travis Hunter , account for six roster spots already. Perhaps with Hunter playing cornerback as well, the Jaguars keep an additional wideout for depth, which may be Boyd's best chance to make the 53-man roster. Boyd showcasing his ability to contribute on special teams will play an important role in any potential roster push that might take place.
