Japan vs Sweden – Predicted lineup and team news
Japan face Sweden at Dallas Stadium tonight, knowing a draw will guarantee progress to the World Cup knockout rounds.
Hajime Moriyasu watched his side deliver a historic attacking masterclass to easily dismantle Tunisia last week. The Samurai Blue became the first Asian nation to score four goals in a World Cup match. They now require just a single point to confirm their place in the round of 32.

Japan team news
Moriyasu will be highly reluctant to alter his lineup following their clinical matchday two performance. Zion Suzuki will shield the net behind a deeply disciplined three-man defensive unit.
Takehiro Tomiyasu anchors the backline alongside Ko Itakura and Hiroki Ito to restrict space. They have formed an incredibly tight defensive block that quickly reorganises after losing possession.
That said, the creative department faces a late fitness check on one of its brightest stars. Takefusa Kubo remains highly doubtful after sustaining a frustrating knee injury against the Netherlands . In his absence, Daichi Kamada will continue orchestrating the offensive tempo from an advanced midfield role.

Kamada has already scored twice this tournament to lead their creative transitions perfectly. Ritsu Doan and Keito Nakamura will look to provide vital attacking width from the flank positions.
Up front, in-form striker Ayase Ueda will lead the line after bagging a brilliant brace against Tunisia. Shuto Machino remains sidelined due to a lingering illness.
