New Miami Dolphins coach Jeff Hafley, who was the Green Bay Packers ' defensive coordinator the past two seasons, had an interesting anecdote about his debut in Green Bay, speaking during media availability Sept. 3.
Hafley told reporters that, when he hired Dolphins passing game coordinator Kevin Patullo from the Philadelphia Eagles, Patullo told him that the Eagles had gotten online video of the Packers ' training camp before the 2024 season, recorded by fans at open practices.

That enabled the Eagles to sniff out some defensive pressures in the season opener.
"He told me that, before we played them in Brazil, he had half my pressures on tape from training camp from people that videoed it and put it online, Twitter, etc.," Hafley said. "I remember we had a pressure I had never run, so there's no way he could have known about it, and they knew it was coming. He said they saw that pressure on video. So it's kind of disappointing, but at the same time, I'm not really sure what you could do about it."

The Packers, perhaps not coincidentally, emphasized this preseason that fans aren't allowed to videotape certain portions of practice.

The policy has been in place for a while , but the team was stricter about enforcement this year.
The Packers have long been one of the friendliest NFL franchises when it comes to opening practices to fans. Teams aren't required to do it, though most do to some extent.
The Eagles won that opener, 34-29, in a game remembered for a late injury to quarterback Jordan Love. Philadelphia went on to win the Super Bowl that season.
Hafley's defense had three turnovers and two sacks in the game. The Eagles racked up 410 yards, just shy of Green Bay's 414 in the game, and they were a fairly pedestrian 4-of-14 on third-down conversions.
