Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow got extremely blunt in his assessment of the team and his latest injury comeback this week.
On his 29th birthday, no less.
So blunt, in fact, that some online observers started throwing around terms like Andrew Luck while getting clips of the interview through social media.
Viewing the entire press conference as a whole, a somber Burrow seemed more irritated with another losing season than anything else. Which, who can blame him? The Bengals organization has been unable to build an even league-average defense to support him over the last few years, to the point it spoiled an MVP-like season.

Reading into Burrow's presser as anything else seems like a reach when not merely viewing it through clips, some of them out of context.
Even so, the widespread reaction from even non-Bengals fans speaks to just how seriously the Bengals have botched a chunk of the Joe Burrow era…and how much major change this offseason might be a good thing.
