Matthias Jaissle could be facing another setback after Newcastle United's consecutive defeats to Everton.
Ewen Jauoen, Tino Livramento and Lewis Miley have been long-term absentees, joined recently by Matias Fernandez-Pardo due to illness.
The Magpies have won just one of their last five matches, a 2-0 win over Crystal Palace, causing them to be knocked out of the Carabao Cup.
Jaissle is clearly not happy with the performances, throwing his players under the bus following the second defeat to the Toffees on Monday, 2 November.
Rather than galvanise his squad, though, the manager's latest outburst has confused the players even more. Fulham up next could be very important.
Whispers over Jaissle's future have been shut down quite quickly by the media, but that isn't to say it couldn't change at Craven Cottage.
Joelinton injury scare emerges pre-Fulham
The 38-year-old will need his best players available for what is likely to be a very scrappy fixture on Saturday, 7 November.
Luckily for him, as per the Daily Mail , Miley and Fernandez-Pardo could both make a return to the squad for the trip to South London.
However, the same cannot be said for midfield powerhouse Joelinton, who has only recently returned from a lengthy lay-off, and could be back on the treatment table.
The Brazilian felt muscle discomfort against Everton, and while there is hope of it just being severe cramp, fans may have to prepare for worse news.
Given Joelinton's recent injury history, he is unlikely to be risked against the Cottagers, leaving Jaissle with a sizeable hole to fill in the midfield.
Matthias Jaissle must make Newcastle U-turn on Sean Steur, he has no choice Newcastle make 'firm' Matthias Jaissle sack call after fans rage - expert Could Aladji Bamba make a rare appearance?
Fans have been left scratching their heads over the signing of Aladji Bamba, who has made just three appearances since his arrival.
The 20-year-old was expected to make a big splash after signing on a £35.5million deal, but he's rarely featured for the Magpies.
He's been on the bench for the last five matches. Sadly, he's been unable to get onto the pitch in any of those games.
With Sean Steur and Nico Gonzalez not a good fit together, Jacob Ramsey suspended, and Joelinton potentially injured, Jaissle may have no other choice.
