⚪️🟣 Your turn now, Real Madrid
Without Vinicius, Mourinho could tweak his starting XI for the trip to Santander, bringing in Dumfries or Trent at right-back in Valverde's absence. Konaté looks set to start at centre-back.
Courtois returns in goal, while Bernardo Silva could keep his place in midfield for a game Madrid cannot afford to lose, given the pace Barça and Atlético are setting. Six points separate Madrid from Barça ahead of this afternoon's clash.
🧠 Flick (almost) reinvents the wheel
With so many defenders missing, the Barcelona coach put together a makeshift back line featuring a central midfielder at right-back, debutant Brian Fariñas, and another creative midfielder, Frenkie De Jong, at centre-back.
Alavés barely tested him, but the Dutchman got the job done thanks to his reading of the game and anticipation. He also made a big contribution to playing out from the back.
🥹 We've got something in our eye
Ricardo Kaká gave us one of the most beautiful moments of yesterday's Milan derby. The Rossoneri legend could not hold back his tears of joy as San Siro chanted his name when he was inducted into Milan's Hall of Fame.
👑 Lewandowski will go down fighting
A lethal finisher for the ages, Lewandowski caps off a superb team move with an exquisite finish in the MLS clash between Colorado Rapids and Chicago Fire.
