FORT WORTH - TCU could be getting one of its most dangerous offensive weapons back at exactly the right time.
Veteran wide receiver Jordan Dwyer is expected to make his 2026 season debut Saturday against UCF , giving quarterback Jaden Craig another proven target as the Horned Frogs open Big 12 play in Orlando.

Dwyer has missed TCU's first three games with a foot injury and remains officially listed as questionable. But Sonny Dykes has sounded increasingly optimistic about his return.
"We expect Jordan to play next week," Dykes said after TCU's 31-7 win over Arkansas State . "It'll be good to have Jordan back next week. I think it'll be a big lift for us."
The former Idaho transfer started all 12 regular-season games in 2025 and finished with 54 receptions for 730 yards and seven touchdowns, ranking second on the team in receiving yards.

His TCU debut immediately showed what he could bring, as Dwyer caught nine passes for 136 yards and a touchdown against North Carolina .
His return could make an already-improving passing attack considerably more dangerous.
Craig enters the UCF game leading the Big 12 with 903 passing yards while averaging 301 yards per game.
He's also coming off his best performance of the season, throwing for 337 yards and three touchdowns against Arkansas State.
Sophomore Ed Small has stepped into the No. 1 receiver role during Dwyer's absence and leads TCU with 330 receiving yards. Small erupted for 164 yards and a touchdown last week.

Now imagine putting Dwyer opposite him.
Dykes said Craig and Dwyer developed chemistry during fall camp before the injury interrupted those plans.
"It's going to be good to have Jordan back out there where Jaden knows exactly what he's going to get from him," Dykes said.
TCU has survived three games without one of its best offensive players.

Big 12 play is where survival stops being enough.
If Dwyer really is ready Saturday, the Horned Frogs' passing game just became significantly harder to defend.
