The first defensive market moves are beginning to emerge between Roma and Turin.
According to Manà Manà Sport, Juventus has reportedly conducted an exploratory survey for the Italian central defender, currently owned by Roma.
The Bianconeri's approach, at least for now, is a useful first step to understand the Giallorossi's position and the potential scope for negotiations.
Juventus' interest in the defender is reportedly concrete, with the former Hellas Verona player being targeted by the Turin management with a view to a potential defensive move.
During initial discussions between the two clubs, Juventus has reportedly raised the possibility of including Federico Gatti in the deal as a technical counterpart.

This option would allow Roma to sell Ghilardi in exchange for a defender already accustomed to Serie A and with greater experience.
At present, however, negotiations have not yet reached the heart of the matter.
Juventus' inquiry represents only an initial expression of interest, while the possible inclusion of Gatti remains a solution put forward in the initial discussions.
