The New York Knicks found themselves in another uncomfortable playoff moment against the Philadelphia 76ers . The Wells Fargo Center was loud and momentum shifted early. But once again, Jalen Brunson looked completely unfazed. That calm presence became the center of attention after the game when Mike Brown delivered one of the funniest and most honest quotes of the NBA Playoffs so far.
Speaking to SNY TV after the 108-94 win, the Knicks head coach explained why having Brunson on the floor changes the emotional tone of the game for everyone around him. The veteran coach even reached for a Peanuts reference to describe it.

"Yeah, I mean, I said before, Jalen's, this dude's name, Snoopy Linus," Brown said. "He got a blanket. Jalen's, I'm Linus, Jalen's my blanket."
The room laughed immediately. Still, the message behind the joke carried real weight. Brunson has become the emotional anchor of this Knicks team. When games speed up or crowds start roaring, he slows everything down. Possession by possession and quarter by quarter.

"So he gets me, he helps me relax at a lot of different times throughout the course of games," Brown said. "But that's what great players do. They keep you poised, they make the game easier for everybody else, and they help you get through the stretch."
That trust now defines this NBA Playoffs run. Brunson controls tempo without forcing moments. He absorbs pressure and creates order when the floor starts feeling chaotic. Under the bright arena lights, that matters as much as scoring.
The Knicks know every game against the 76ers will feel heavy. But with Brunson leading the way, panic never seems to last very long. And now the big question grows even louder across New York: just how far can this team really go?
