The timing also matters, with the trade deadline approaching and teams reportedly monitoring his situation. Head coach Kyle Shanahan, however, is unbothered about the noise surrounding Aiyuk.

San Francisco previously voided Aiyuk's contract guarantees after he missed rehabilitation sessions, and general manager John Lynch has said he does not expect him to play for the team again.
The NFL has informed Aiyuk that he must repay approximately $13 million in previously received bonuses, according to reports. The financial dispute remains unresolved and is separate from the roughly $27 million in salary guarantees San Francisco previously voided.
The Kansas City Chiefs, Pittsburgh Steelers, New England Patriots, Denver Broncos, and Washington Commanders have emerged in discussions as possible destinations.
With the Nov. 10 deadline approaching, a release may be more likely than a trade.
