- Can Kyler Gordon continue making a big impact for the Chicago Bears?

Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the NFL. Throughout the year, we ask questions of the most plugged-in Bears fans and fans across the country.
It's only been two games, but Chicago Bears nickelback Kyler Gordon is showing exactly why defensive coordinator Dennis Allen talked him up so much when he was hired in 2025. Allen loves giving offenses plenty to think about pre-snap, and Gordon's versatility lets Allen line him up anywhere.
In Gordon's two games this year, he has already set a career high in sacks (4), forced fumbles (2), and tackles for loss (5). It's a small sample size with just 48 defensive snaps, but he's only allowed 2 receptions in coverage for 5 yards.
Various injuries limited Gordon to just 3 regular-season games last year, but the Bears won all three. Maybe it's a coincidence, but in those three wins, the Bears defense gave up an average of 300 yards and 17.6 points, far below their season averages of 362 and 24.4.
Gordon has already blitzed 10 times this season, but he may be asked to cover more in their next game against the Seattle Seahawks and wideout Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who does a lot of work out of the slot. Since coming off the PUP list, Kyler played 26 total snaps in his first game and 35 snaps in his second, so we could see that pushed closer to 50 on Monday night.
